The goal of the department is to gather timely information related to the
satisfaction and well being of patients and their families at The Nebraska
Medical Center, the Durham Outpatient Care Center, and the Lied Transplant
Center as well as the employees, students, and visitors to The Nebraska Medical
Center.
The Patient Relations Department provides a mechanism by which patients and
families can share their complaints, concerns, and/or compliments related to the
health care services received at this institution. This includes but is not
limited to issues related to interaction with medical staff, ancillary staff,
cleanliness, patient rights and responsibilies, ethical issues, confidentiality,
patient education, Do Not Announce status, and standards of care.
