Group Therapy

Participants in the Pain Management Program are provided an average of 10 group therapy sessions per week. Most of the group therapy is delivered in a psycho-educational format; however, some of the group sessions are also psychotherapeutic and supportive in orientation. Group sessions cover a wide variety of important issues that impact people with chronic pain including:

  • Acceptance and lifestyle change
  • Sleep hygiene
  • Sexual issues
  • Anger management
  • Relapse prevention
