Q. Does your center only see transplant patients?
A. No, our center sees all patients with liver and/or intestinal diseases. This may include patients with tumors, organ failure, rejection diagnosis, medical or surgical treatments and second options.

Q. How do patients get referred to your center?
A. A nurse coordinator or a physician will be happy to speak with you, your family, your doctor or insurance carrier regarding individual health care needs.

Q. How long will I need to remain in the Omaha area before or after my transplant?
A. The length of stay during the evaluation process and the subsequent treatment will depend upon your medical condition. The nurse coordinator will be happy to address any questions that you may have based upon your medical condition and your individual needs.

Q. Where would my family and I stay while in the Omaha area?
A. There are a number of housing options that are located on or near the hospital campus. Options may include Nebraska House, Potter’s House and the Ronald McDonald house for children receiving treatment and their families.

Q. If I have questions regarding organ transplant evaluation and treatment, who should I contact?
A. A nurse coordinator will be happy to answer any questions that you or your family may have regarding the transplant process.
