Honor a Loved One or Caregiver
The Bonnie Danielson Scholarship Fund for Advanced Nursing Education
Bonnie Danielson, a 27-year employee of The Nebraska Medical Center died Saturday,
April 9,2005. Danielson was the manager of the Oncology/Hematology Special Care
Unit.
"Bonnie was the best at advocating for staff and patients and never was reluctant
to tackle difficult issues, or challenge the status quo." says Theresa Franco, executive
director, Cancer Care Service Line. "It was an honor and privilege to be her colleague
and have her on our cancer team. She will truly be missed."
A Scholarship fund has been set up in Bonnie's name and the funds will support nursing
education, tuition, books and other related expenses for Oncology nurses employed
by The Nebraska Medical Center.
